- Ho Chi Minh once worked as a pastry chef on a ferry between Newhaven and Dieppe. The popular story that he trained under the famous chef Auguste Escoffier is not supported by evidence.[1]
- Ho Chi Minh was not his birth name. He was born Nguyen Sinh Cung and is known to have used between 50 and 200 pseudonyms.[1]
